The photograph on the left taken in 1972 shows my grandfather and grandmother on their wedding day—young hopeful and beginning a life together with dreams and a promise of forever. The photograph on the right taken in 2019 shows them decades later still standing side by side hands joined celebrating not just an anniversary but a lifetime of togetherness. Over the years time has changed their appearances and added lines to their faces but it has also gifted them countless memories—of joy strength sacrifice and shared challenges. Through it all their bond has remained strong and unmistakable. What began as a simple vow grew into a lifelong legacy of love commitment and companionship. This is more than a comparison of two photographs—it is a reminder of what true lasting love really looks like.
